Fashion & interior designers have been limited by 3 major factors in fabric: lead times, minimum order quantities, and pre-design by the factory. Run by sister duo Dena Molnar and Chelsea Molnar, WOVNS is a jacquard textile program that lets interior designers create their own jacquard textiles, choose their own colors, order as little as one yard at a time and get it in a week.

PEGAS NONWOVENS, a manufacturer of polypropylene / polyethylene nonwoven textiles for the hygiene, industrial, construction, agricultural, medical and other specialized sectors has signed a MOU for the delivery of a semi-commercial production line for the plant in Luxembourg. The production line should be put into commercial operation during the third quarter of 2019.

Fashion

About 5% of [global] greenhouse gas emissions come from this sector which is equivalent to the impact from the aviation sector or equal to Russia. Currently, SME sector contributes roughly 28-29 percent in Bangladesh's economy while it is approximately 52 percent for Germany. Technical textile

Employees in many industries are protected from possible hazards by wearing high-visibility clothing during their activities which may become contaminated & reduce the warning effect. The current research project at the Hohenstein Group focuses on washing processes designed to be gentle to textiles while removing persistent contaminations.

Retail

After its Ayurvedic offerings found widespread acceptance in the Indian household, the homegrown FMCG major Patanjali has taken on established multinational FMCG brands and now hopes to overtake foreign textile makers. It plans to produce everything from an underwear to ethnic and sportswear apparels soon and intends to break the stronghold of foreign manufacturers.
